Sophia Kelemen Inquest Postponed After Car Park Crash Due to Power Cut

The inquest into Sophia Kelemen’s tragic death has been delayed due to a power outage affecting court operations in Pembrokeshire

Sophia Kelemen, Leigh, Manchester, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Aaron Jones, Llanpumsaint, Wales

Tenby: So, here’s the scoop. The inquests for two tragic deaths had to be put on hold because of a power cut. Little Sophia Kelemen, just six months old, sadly passed away after a crash at a car park in Pembrokeshire on January 2. She was rushed to the hospital but didn’t make it, dying the next day.

They were supposed to start the inquests at Pembrokeshire County Hall, but the power outage messed everything up. The council said their IT systems were down, so they couldn’t proceed. Now, both inquests are postponed and will happen next week, though the exact date is still up in the air.

After Sophia’s death, a guy named Flaviu Naghi, 33, from Leigh, got charged with causing death by dangerous driving, plus a couple of other driving offenses. He showed up in court on January 4 and is set to appear again on February 7. Police also arrested him for drink and drug driving, but he’s out on bail for those charges.

As for Aaron Jones, he died in a hit-and-run while walking his dog in Llanpumsaint. A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with that incident but has been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Local councillor Bryan Jones mentioned that the community is really feeling the loss of Aaron. He said everyone is mourning and that Llanpumsaint is a tight-knit place where folks rally around to support each other during tough times. It’s heartbreaking for everyone involved.
