Mumbai, India, Somaiya College, Fake Certificates, Admissions Scam

Mumbai: So, there’s this big scandal going on at Somaiya College. A 40-year-old guy named Sharad Shirodkar, who works there, just got denied bail. He’s in hot water for helping students get admitted using fake certificates.

The whole mess started when the college found out that some students had submitted forged documents. They reported it to the police, and now Shirodkar is being linked to the whole scheme. He claims he’s just a scapegoat, saying he only checks scholarship forms and isn’t involved in verifying student documents.

But the prosecution isn’t buying it. They pointed out that during the investigation, witnesses said he was deeply involved. Plus, they found out he transferred a bunch of money to a co-accused. His phone records also show he was in contact with them.

The court looked at all the evidence and decided they need him in custody to get to the bottom of this. They think he played a key role in the scam, and they want to make sure they uncover the whole conspiracy.
