It happened in a multi-storey car park on January 2. Sophia was from the Leigh area of Manchester and was airlifted to the hospital but sadly passed away the next day.
The coroner’s officer shared that police were alerted around 4 PM about the collision. It involved a single vehicle and a child’s pram, which is just devastating.
After the accident, Sophia received emergency treatment, but the cause of death was later confirmed as a head injury from the collision.
The inquest has been adjourned for further investigations. The assistant coroner expressed deep condolences to Sophia’s family during this tragic time.
Flaviu Naghi, a 33-year-old from Wigan, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and other offenses. He’s set to appear in court soon.
Sophia’s father, Alex, shared how the family was on holiday in Tenby and were just about to head home when this nightmare unfolded. He described the experience as horrific and mentioned how much everyone loved Sophia.
