London: A big snowstorm is coming! Starting at midnight on February 14, snow will blanket southern England. Weather maps show that places as far south as London and Sussex will be affected.

Counties like Sussex, Essex, Norfolk, Cumberland, Cumbria, and Northumberland are at high risk. The Scottish Borders and parts of North Wales will also see snow. The northwest of Britain is looking at a snowy forecast too.

Snowfall could reach 0.6 cm per hour. By 6 am on Valentine’s Day, many areas will be covered in snow. Northern Ireland may also see significant snow accumulation.

According to the Met Office, the whole country down to the south coast is at risk. This forecast is based on data from the weekend. For February 3, expect mostly dry weather in England and Wales, with some sunshine after fog clears.

Scotland and Northern Ireland will be windy, with coastal gales and rain, especially in the northwest. Heavy rain will spread into northern England and west Wales later. The south and east will stay dry and mild.

Looking ahead to February 4, a band of rain will move east across England and Wales. Eastern England will remain dry until the evening. Expect brighter spells and heavy showers further north.

From Wednesday to Friday, Scotland will see blustery showers, some wintry. The rest of the week will be dry with some sunshine, but it will feel colder with overnight frosts.
