Newcastle: So, there was this wild scene at a barber shop recently. A guy named Dilovan Sindi, who got fired, decided to take revenge in the craziest way possible. He walked into Amed’s Hair Design and started pouring petrol everywhere. Can you believe it?

Right in front of customers, including a little baby getting his first haircut, Sindi lit a match. Boom! A fireball erupted, and it was chaos. Thankfully, a quick-thinking lorry driver rushed in with a fire extinguisher and saved the day.

Sindi ended up with burns on 85% of his body, while one of the shop owners got burned too. The baby, sitting on his dad’s lap, was lucky to escape without serious injuries, but the whole thing left him shaken. Poor kid might have PTSD now.

In court, it came out that Sindi was angry about being fired for allegedly stealing. He thought he had a stake in the business, but that wasn’t the case. He pleaded guilty to arson and other charges, and the judge gave him a hefty sentence of over seven years.

One of the shop owners shared how the attack changed his life forever. He feels like he can’t work again and struggles with the aftermath of the burns. It’s just heartbreaking.

As for Sindi, he’s in a tough spot too. He’s facing a long recovery with surgeries ahead. His lawyer argued that he’s not a dangerous person, just someone who made a terrible mistake. But still, the damage is done, and it’s a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong.

Detective Inspector Rona Malessa from Northumbria Police said it was a shocking act that could have ended much worse. It’s a tough lesson for everyone involved.
