Mumbai: So, the Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece, Saamna, just dropped a pretty scathing editorial aimed at the BJP. They’re calling out the party for ignoring serious national issues while gearing up for the Delhi Assembly elections.

They pointed out that the election schedule is set, with voting on February 5 and results on February 8. The big guns like Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah are all in, focusing solely on defeating Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

But here’s the kicker: while the BJP is all about winning in Delhi, there are major issues like Chinese incursions in Ladakh and violence in Manipur that are being overlooked. The editorial really lays it out, saying that in Maharashtra, daylight murders are happening, and it feels like the killers have government protection.

They also accused the BJP of going to extreme lengths to ensure AAP’s defeat. It’s like they think tackling serious issues is a waste of time compared to just winning elections. The editorial suggests that the BJP is all about power, no matter the cost.

It gets even deeper, claiming that a “new form of democracy” is taking root in India. This new style seems to be about wiping out political rivals by any means necessary. They pointed to examples in Maharashtra and Haryana, saying now it’s Delhi’s turn.

There’s also a serious allegation about discrepancies in the voter list in Delhi. AAP has complained that people from Eastern Uttar Pradesh are being removed from the list, labeled as Rohingyas or Bangladeshis. The editorial even questioned the Chief Election Commissioner’s awareness of these issues.

They referenced Elon Musk’s claims about EVMs being hackable and pointed out how the integrity of elections has been questioned in the U.S. The editorial doesn’t hold back, accusing the BJP of winning through dishonest means, citing the 2019 Maharashtra elections as an example of their “crooked” tactics.

They also took a jab at the Election Commission, saying it’s biased and has played a role in the political crisis in Maharashtra. The editorial criticized the ECI for giving away the Shiv Sena’s symbol to a rival faction.

Wrapping it up, they warned that Modi and Shah won’t be around forever, and they’ll have to answer for their actions. The upcoming Delhi elections could be a turning point for the BJP, according to Saamna.

They even took a shot at the Congress party, questioning why they’re targeting AAP instead of the BJP while the country faces what they call a “Modi-Shah dictatorship.”

Lastly, they expressed concerns about the Delhi Lieutenant Governor acting as a puppet for the BJP, especially with the Model Code of Conduct coming into play. It’s a pretty intense editorial, and it’s clear the Shiv Sena (UBT) is not holding back.
