San Francisco: So, Richard Sherman is really pushing for the 49ers to move on from kicker Jake Moody. He shared his thoughts on his podcast, saying it’s time for a change.

Even though coach Kyle Shanahan wants to stick with Moody for the rest of the season, Sherman thinks the kicker just isn’t cutting it. He pointed out that Moody missed two field goals and an extra point in a recent game, which cost the team big time.

Sherman didn’t hold back, saying, “Jake Moody, got to go.” He feels that in the NFL, you have to perform, especially in such a crucial position. He mentioned how other teams, like the Lions, have found solid kickers without needing to draft them high.

Moody came into the league with high hopes after being picked in the third round of the 2023 draft. He had a decent rookie season, making most of his kicks, but things have taken a turn this year.

He started strong in 2024, but after getting hurt, his performance has dropped. In a recent game against the Lions, he missed two kicks, which didn’t help his case at all.

It seems like the 49ers are trying to give him every chance to succeed, but fans are starting to wonder if it’s time to look for someone new. Only time will tell what happens next.
