Woman Left in Agony After Surgery Following Attempt to Stop Fight
A woman suffered severe injuries while trying to break up a street fight, requiring surgery and leaving her in pain.

Tonypandy: So, there was this woman who tried to break up a fight, right? It didn’t go well at all. A guy named Stephen Davies pushed her down, and she ended up breaking her arm. Ouch!
This all happened on July 7, 2023, when she saw Davies arguing with another man. She thought she could help, but instead, she got hurt. He pushed her hard, and while he tried to punch her, thankfully, he missed.
After the incident, she had to go to the hospital for surgery. Can you believe it? They had to put metal plates in her arm! It was a two-hour operation, and now her arm is in a cast from her knuckles all the way to her shoulder.
The prosecutor mentioned that this whole experience has really changed her life. She’s become a recluse, relying on her neighbors and her young son for help. She’s been in so much pain that it’s even affected her sleep and mental health.
Two days later, Davies called the police, saying he heard they were looking for him. He even made some alarming comments about harming himself and his mother. He has a pretty rough past, with eight previous convictions, including assault and harassment.
In court, his lawyer said he has mental health issues and takes care of his sick parents and partner. The judge didn’t take it lightly, calling the assault a “very nasty offence.” He ended up getting a 10-month prison sentence, but it’s suspended for two years. Plus, he has to do some rehabilitation and pay the victim £1,000.
It’s just a sad situation all around, you know?
