Fadnavis pointed out that the opposition had been spreading some pretty wild claims, like the BJP wanting to grab 400 seats just to change the Constitution and get rid of reservations. That kind of talk really hurt their campaign. But thanks to the RSS, the truth came out, and Pawar recognized that.
During a chat with a senior editor, Fadnavis said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance had built a misleading narrative, but the RSS played a key role in setting the record straight. He even said that Pawar is a smart guy who knows how to spot strengths in others.
Fadnavis also shared some behind-the-scenes stuff about Eknath Shinde becoming Chief Minister and how he wanted to focus on organizational work instead of just being in the government. Plus, he mentioned that Prime Minister Modi advised him to avoid acting like an “extra-constitutional authority.”
When asked about who’s stricter between Modi and Amit Shah, Fadnavis said Modi is super disciplined, while Shah can sometimes be swayed for political reasons. But Modi? He sticks to his principles.
Looking ahead to the 2024 Assembly elections, Fadnavis felt confident about the BJP’s chances, especially after winning 132 seats. He also talked about how Uddhav Thackeray, a former ally, is still someone he respects, and he’s not into the whole “politics of revenge” thing.
In a light-hearted moment, Fadnavis joked that he only gets angry when he’s hungry. So, if you ever see him mad, just offer him a snack! It’s all in good fun, but it shows how he tries to keep things light even in serious discussions.
