Seven Men Sentenced to Over 58 Years for Cocaine Supply Crimes
Seven men received lengthy prison sentences after a major cocaine supply investigation in South Wales
Swansea, Coventry, Cocaine, Organised Crime, Drug Trafficking
The whole thing kicked off back in October 2022 when the Regional Organised Crime Unit started looking into a Swansea-based gang. These guys were moving serious amounts of cocaine around, and they were also into money laundering.
The main players were two brothers, Ryan and Leon Morgan. They didn’t have regular jobs but were living large, which raised some eyebrows. They were getting their drugs from the West Midlands and had connections with other criminal groups.
They had a bunch of “safe houses” where they stashed drugs and other illegal stuff. They were smart about it, switching locations often to avoid getting caught. But on July 13, 2023, one of them, Nicky Davies, got nabbed with seven kilos of cocaine.
The police were on it, stopping him as he tried to make his getaway. They found more evidence later, including a stash of drugs and even a sawn-off shotgun.
In total, they recovered over eight kilos of high-purity cocaine worth around £500,000. The judge laid down some serious sentences when they appeared in court on December 19, 2024.
Detective Inspector Vinnie Easton said it was a big win against organized crime, and he urged anyone with info about drug dealing to speak up. It’s a reminder that illegal drugs just bring trouble to our communities.
