Seven members of Glasgow child abuse ring jailed for ‘harrowing’ attacks

Glasgow: Seven people have been sentenced for their roles in a shocking child abuse ring. Their prison terms range from eight to 20 years, which is pretty serious.

The group included two women and five men, and they were found guilty of some truly awful crimes. They gang-raped a child and abused others in a place where drugs like heroin and crack cocaine were rampant.

The trial lasted about eight weeks, and the evidence was described as “harrowing.” The judge, Lord Beckett, said it was one of the worst cases he had seen.
