Second Man Denies Assisting Daniel Khalife in Prison Escape
Adeel Khan pleads not guilty to aiding Daniel Khalife’s escape from prison
Waltham Forest, London, Daniel Khalife, Adeel Khan, Imran Chowdhury, Prison Escape
Waltham Forest: So, there’s this guy Adeel Khan, right? He just pleaded not guilty to helping Daniel Khalife escape from prison. It’s a pretty wild story.
Khalife, a former soldier, made his getaway from HMP Wandsworth by hiding under a food truck back in September 2023. Khan, who was also in the same prison, is accused of giving him a hand.
Apparently, Khan had an illegal phone while they were both locked up. The court heard he might have used it to help Khalife get some cash after he bolted on September 6.
Khan showed up at Westminster Magistrates’ Court looking sharp in a white shirt, but he’s facing some serious charges. He’s out on conditional bail for now but has to check in with the police and stay at a specific address.
His next court date is set for February 4, where he’ll be joined by another guy, Imran Chowdhury, who’s also in hot water for allegedly helping Khalife.
Chowdhury, who’s 25 and from Chingford, is said to have withdrawn £400 for Khalife after getting instructions from Khan. Both of them are denying the charges, but it’s a tangled web they’ve woven.
As for Khalife, he was found guilty of spying for Iran last year. He admitted to escaping but got cleared of a bomb hoax charge. It’s all pretty intense, and we’ll have to see how it unfolds in court.
