Waltham Forest: So, it turns out a second guy, Adeel Khan, has been charged for helping Daniel Khalife escape from prison. This all went down after Khalife managed to sneak out of HMP Wandsworth by hiding under a food truck back in September.
Khan, who’s 30 and from east London, is also in trouble for having a phone while in prison. The police have been on it, and he got charged by mail earlier this month. He’s set to show up at Westminster Magistrates’ Court soon.
Just last week, another guy named Imran Chowdhury, 25, from Chingford, was also charged for his role in Khalife’s escape. He appeared in court and denied helping Khalife get away.
Chowdhury is out on bail and has to return to court in February. As for Khalife, he was found guilty of spying for Iran last year and had already admitted to escaping from prison. But he was cleared of a bomb hoax at his old Army base.
