Seaside café famous for its huge sandwiches brings back breakfast menu that made it a must-visit

Ogmore-by-Sea: Cobbles Kitchen is back in action, and they’re bringing their breakfast menu along for the ride! This café is famous for its massive sandwiches, and folks are buzzing about the return of breakfast.

The café, located at Tymaen Farm Buildings, had a tough time during the pandemic. But now, they’re ready to relaunch their roast menu on January 19 and breakfast on January 20. The owner, Chloe Francis, has a real passion for food, thanks to her grandparents who ran restaurants in the area.

After some creative sandwich experiments during lockdown, Chloe whipped up a Rhubarb sandwich that got her thinking about changing things up. Now, Cobbles Kitchen is a mix of a sandwich shop, event space, and even a fish and chip shop, with another location in Goodsheds, Barry.

With a new chef on board, Chloe is excited to bring back breakfast. She mentioned that people were really disappointed when the café closed, and they’ve won awards for their food. The buzz around the breakfast menu is palpable, and they’ve made some fresh updates to keep things exciting.

On the brunch menu, you can find the Full Welsh Breakfast, which is loaded with delicious ingredients like pork and leek sausage and maple bacon chop. There are options for everyone, including a Glamorgan sausage breakfast for vegetarians and a Plant-Based Breakfast for vegans.

For something lighter, try the Avocado Croissant topped with crispy kale and hot honey. Kids can enjoy fluffy pancakes or a smaller breakfast with sausage and bacon. And don’t forget about the roast menu, featuring platters with roast pork, chicken, or beef, along with all the classic sides.

For dessert, treat yourself to something sweet like chocolate fudge cake or sticky toffee pudding. Cobbles Kitchen is ready to serve up some tasty meals in the beautiful setting of Ogmore-by-Sea!
