Perth: A couple who made it through a seaplane crash are really thankful for the pilot’s quick thinking. They say his safety instructions were key to their survival.

The seaplane went down shortly after taking off, crashing into the water near Rottnest Island. Sadly, three people lost their lives, including the pilot, James Wong.

Among the survivors were Jeremy and Patricia Connor, who are in their sixties. They shared their heartfelt thoughts about the tragedy and expressed sympathy for the families of those who didn’t make it.

They mentioned how grateful they were for the pilot’s demonstration on how to open the emergency exit. That guidance was crucial in helping them escape the sinking plane.

The Connors also thanked the rescuers who pulled them from the water and the medical staff who treated them afterward. They felt overwhelmed by the support they received during such a tough time.

As for the investigation, safety experts are looking into what caused the crash. They’ve already recovered the seaplane from the ocean floor and plan to release a preliminary report soon.
