Kent: An adorable seal pup was found in a car park in Thanet. A quick-thinking resident spotted the little guy and called in the experts from British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
The seal, with its beautiful grey, white, and black coat, was lying near the barriers in Barnes Car Park. Jamie Wood, who took a photo of the pup, stayed with it in the chilly weather until help arrived.
People on social media were really concerned and wanted updates on the seal’s condition. It was such a heartwarming moment when Jamie and others praised Sheila Stone, who also helped care for the pup.
When the marine medics arrived, they checked the seal and found it to be in good health. After a quick assessment, the little one was released back into the sea, which is where it belongs.
It’s common to see young Atlantic grey seal pups around this time of year. If anyone finds one, they should keep their distance, avoid moving it, and call the rescue hotline for help.
