Burns had a toe injury that kept him out after playing in just one game this season. But he’s been a solid player for the Seahawks over the last couple of years, appearing in 17 games.
In a related move, safety Jerrick Reed has been placed on injured reserve. He had three tackles in five games this season, so the team is feeling the impact of his absence.
On top of that, the Seahawks have also elevated quarterback Jaren Hall and running back George Holani from the practice squad. Hall has been elevated before but didn’t get to play, while Holani has seen some action in two games.
