Cairneyhill: So, there was this leak on Pitdinnie Avenue, and Scottish Water had to dig it up. They fixed the leak, but left a big mess behind. There were piles of soil, pipes, and cones just sitting there.
John Watson, a local guy, was pretty frustrated. He said they did the repair back in October 2024, but after that, it was like they forgot about cleaning up. He called the helpline a few times, hoping someone would come and clear the leftover stuff.
Finally, just before Christmas, a lorry showed up and took away the soil. But guess what? They left all the cones and signs behind. John was told it was someone else’s job to pick those up, but nothing happened for weeks.
Then, on January 10, Scottish Water said they’d take care of it. And they did! John confirmed that everything was finally cleared away. Scottish Water apologized for the hassle and thanked the locals for their patience. They promised to do better next time.
