Glasgow: It’s been a tough weekend for ScotRail with Storm Eowyn causing quite a bit of chaos. David Ross, the communications director, mentioned that most routes are back on track, which is a relief.

However, a few routes are still facing cancellations. If you’re planning to travel, you might want to check on Kilwinning to Ayr, Dalreoch to Balloch, and a few others. Wishaw and Bellshill stations are still closed, too.

David shared that Network Rail has been super busy, dealing with around 500 incidents and over 120 fallen trees on the tracks. That’s a lot of work! While most services are back, some areas like Ayrshire and Inverclyde are still feeling the storm’s effects.

He warned that in some places, it won’t be a quick fix. For instance, Balloch might take a few days to sort out. So, if you’re heading out, it’s best to check the ScotRail website or app before you go.
