Llanelli: The Scarlets pulled off a thrilling 38-28 win against Vannes, moving on in the Challenge Cup. They started strong, with Josh Macleod shining in the first half.
MacLeod scored two tries, and there were also touchdowns from Blair Murray, Tom Rogers, and Marnus Van der Merwe. The Scarlets were cruising at 31-0 at halftime, but things got a bit shaky after the break.
Vannes didn’t give up, scoring four tries, but the Scarlets held on. Murray’s stunning solo effort was a highlight, showcasing his speed and skill.
Despite some defensive lapses, the Scarlets managed to keep Vannes at bay. It was a rollercoaster match, but they did just enough to secure their place in the knockout stages.
