Philadelphia: Big news for the Eagles! Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun have been named to the first-team All-Pro list. This is a huge deal, especially since it’s the first time since 2004 that two players made the first team in their first year with the team.
Barkley had an incredible season, leading the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards. That’s the eighth-most in NFL history! It’s his first All-Pro honor, and he’s only the fourth running back in Eagles history to achieve this.
Then there’s Baun, who really stepped up as a linebacker. He anchored the top defense in the league and had impressive stats, including 3½ sacks and 151 tackles. It’s amazing to see how he transformed from a special teams player to a full-time starter.
On the second team, we’ve got some familiar names like Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson, A.J. Brown, and Jalen Carter. Mailata is making his first All-Pro appearance, which is pretty cool for a former rugby player!
Brown, despite missing some games due to injury, still had a solid season with over 1,000 receiving yards. This marks his third consecutive year as a second-team All-Pro, which is quite an achievement.
Overall, it’s a great recognition for the Eagles and their hard work this season. Fans are definitely excited to see what’s next!
