Salvadoran MS-13 Gangster Wanted for Murder Arrested in N.J.
A notorious MS-13 member wanted for murder in El Salvador has been captured in New Jersey and faces deportation.

West New York: So, here’s the scoop. An MS-13 gang member, Johnathan Stanley Garcia-Vasquez, who was wanted for murder back in El Salvador, got nabbed in New Jersey. This all came out on Monday when the authorities made the announcement.
They caught him right outside his home last Friday. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) folks were the ones who broke the news. It’s a big deal because he’s facing deportation now.
One ICE agent, John Tsoukaris, made it clear that the U.S. isn’t a safe spot for fugitives trying to dodge justice. It’s a pretty serious situation, and they’re not taking it lightly.
Interestingly, Garcia-Vasquez had a run-in with Border Patrol back in 2016 in Texas. He was held for a while but got released on bond. Then, in 2018, a judge in El Salvador issued a warrant for him, but he went off the radar here in the States.
It took over six years for the feds to finally track him down, and they didn’t share how they did it. But Tsoukaris praised his team for catching him before he could do any more harm.
Garcia-Vasquez is wanted for homicide and being part of a terrorist group in El Salvador. While he didn’t face any charges here, he was living in the U.S. illegally. Quite the story, right?
