Salisbury public toilets: ‘Toilet attendants are obsolete’

Salisbury Public Toilets: Are Toilet Attendants Now Obsolete

Salisbury’s public toilets face scrutiny as the need for attendants is questioned amid cost concerns

Salisbury: So, there’s been some chatter about the public toilets in Market Square. People are saying that having attendants there is just outdated. It seems like the city could save some cash by ditching the constant staffing.

You know, the toilets at the Park and Ride don’t have attendants anymore, and neither do the ones at the railway station or other spots like Old Sarum and Wilton Shopping Village. It’s like, why are we still paying for this?

If Salisbury just stepped into the 21st century and canceled that staffing contract, the toilets could stay open without all the extra costs. No need for fancy locks or messing with the disabled facilities either.

It’s kind of like when we used to pay someone to ride around Victoria Park at night, locking and unlocking the gates. I can’t help but think how much money that wasted over the years.

Honestly, it feels like a bit of a throwback. Let’s just move on and make things easier for everyone, right?
