London: Sainsbury’s is stepping up its game with a 5% pay rise for hourly workers, set to kick in throughout 2025. This means more cash in your pocket!
The pay bumps will happen twice this year, first in March and then again in August. If you’re working in London, your hourly wage will jump from £13.15 to £13.85 soon.
That’s an extra £1,100 over the year for full-time staff. Pretty sweet, right? Simon Roberts, the CEO, mentioned they want to be the best-paying grocer in the UK starting in March.
Now, if you’re on the lookout for a job, there are some roles at Sainsbury’s in London that pay at least £14.65 an hour. Let’s check them out!
First up, there are home delivery driver positions available. You’ll need to be over 18 and have a full UK/EU driving license for at least a year, with no more than six points on it. Plus, you should be okay with lifting containers weighing up to 15kg.
Then, there are Customer and Trading Manager roles, with 28 positions open, offering at least £31,650 a year. These roles cover various areas like convenience and online shopping, so you can find something that fits you.
If you’re looking for a management position, they’re hiring Customer Experience Managers too, with salaries ranging from £30,250 to £37,200. You’ll be leading a team to boost store performance.
Food Manager roles are also up for grabs, starting at £30,250. You’ll oversee the daily operations of your area and manage the food section of the store.
Lastly, there are Store Manager positions in Richmond and Westminster, paying over £37,400. You’ll need some leadership experience since you’ll be responsible for the success of your stores.
