Glasgow: A popular lunchbox item has been yanked from the shelves, and it’s causing quite a stir. Sainsbury’s and Asda are on high alert after a health warning was issued.
They’ve recalled a batch of McGhee’s Scottish Brown Rolls because of a packaging mix-up. Some packs actually contain white rolls that have soya, which is a big no-no for those with allergies.
The specific batch being recalled is LS5007, with a best before date of January 12, 2025. If you’ve got these rolls at home, it’s best to check your pantry.
Anyone who bought the affected packs should return them to the store for a full refund, no receipt needed. Thankfully, no other McGhee’s products are involved in this recall.
Food Standards Scotland has put out a statement about the recall, urging customers to be cautious. They’ve also reached out to allergy support groups to spread the word.
It’s a reminder to always check what you’re buying, especially if you have allergies. Just a little mix-up can lead to big problems!
