Sacramento: Things are really coming together for the Kings lately. They just snagged a close 111-109 win against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center. It was a nail-biter!
Domantas Sabonis and DeMar DeRozan were the stars of the show. With this win, the Kings are on a three-game streak and have won four out of their last five games. They’re finally at .500 for the first time since late November.
DeRozan was pumped after the game, saying they’re heading in the right direction. He mentioned how they’ve been solid at home and managed to pull off a tough win on the road after a little break.
After trailing at halftime, Sacramento knew they had to step it up in the second half. DeRozan came out firing, hitting four straight three-pointers right off the bat. He finished with 29 points, which was huge for the team.
Sabonis didn’t disappoint either. He led the team with 32 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, shooting an impressive 11 for 15. Coach Brown praised him, saying he was phenomenal and really carried the team through the game.
As they fight for a playoff spot, the Kings will take a few days off before facing the Denver Nuggets next. Let’s hope they keep this momentum going!
