Worcester: So, it seems like the folks living near Elgar Retail Park had another rude awakening. This time, it was a pothole repair that kicked off way too early on a Sunday morning. Can you imagine being jolted out of bed by the sound of heavy machinery? Not cool!

Matt Brown, a local resident, was pretty upset about it. He’s been dealing with all sorts of issues around the retail park, from overflowing bins to noisy leaf blowers. It’s like a never-ending saga for him and his neighbors.

The pothole was apparently a real doozy, about six inches deep. But what really got Matt riled up was the timing of the repair. He said it felt like a bomb went off at 7:40 AM, waking everyone up. I mean, who wants to hear a petrol stone saw that early?

Last year, residents had already complained about a leaf blower starting up at the crack of dawn. It’s like the retail park management just doesn’t get it. They promised to be more considerate, but here we are again.

Legal & General, the company managing the park, had previously apologized for the noise. They said they’d make sure it wouldn’t happen again. But with this latest incident, it seems like they still have some work to do.

Cllr Jill Desayrah, who’s been advocating for the residents, expressed her disappointment. She really hoped the management would step up and do better. Fingers crossed they actually listen this time!
