Mottingham: So, there was this fox that got itself into a bit of a pickle. On January 12, someone spotted it stuck in a garden chair and called the RSPCA for help.
Inspector Clive Hopwood arrived and found the poor thing with its front paws and one back paw wedged between the slats of the chair. Can you imagine how uncomfortable that must have been?
He figured the fox had tried to jump onto the chair and just slipped right through. Thankfully, he was able to gently free her legs and get her out of that mess.
After checking her over, he took her to The Fox Project for some extra care. The good news? They don’t think she broke any bones, so she’s pretty lucky.
They’re hopeful she’ll be back in the wild soon. The RSPCA is reminding everyone to help animals in distress when they can, but to be careful with foxes.
They’ve even got guides online for folks who want to help animals in tricky situations, like a hedgehog stuck in a net. If you want to support their work, you can donate at their Winter Rescue appeal.
And if you ever find an animal in need, just check out their website for advice on what to do. It’s great to see people stepping up for animals!
