Gelligaer: A pony was rescued from Gelligaer Common after concerns about its welfare. The RSPCA, along with local authorities and charities, stepped in to help.

The chestnut mare was taken on January 8, thanks to the efforts of the RSPCA and Caerphilly County Borough Council. They worked alongside Redwings and World Horse Welfare to ensure the pony got the care it needed.

RSPCA inspector Christine McNeil mentioned that the pony is now in charitable care and receiving veterinary treatment. However, they still don’t know who the owner is, which is why they’re reaching out for help.

If anyone has information about the pony, they can call the RSPCA Inspectorate Appeal Line at 0300 123 8018 and mention the case number 1391242. It’s a good chance to help out and maybe reunite the pony with its owner.
