The guy works as an Executive Director for a company in Dubai. He reported that nine pieces of jewellery vanished from his bag in a supposedly secure area of the airport. The local police, specifically the Sahar Police, are now looking into it.
So, here’s the backstory. On December 21, he flew from Dubai to Vadodara for his kid’s mundan ceremony. After landing in Mumbai with his family on December 30, they had a bunch of bags with them, including some cabin luggage. One of those bags had 15 pieces of jewellery.
Fast forward to December 31, when they got back to Dubai at 2 am. The next day, while moving the jewellery to a safe spot, he realized that nine items were missing. He searched everywhere at home but couldn’t find them.
On January 3, he went back to Vadodara to dig deeper and filed a complaint at the local police station. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) showed him footage from the security screening, confirming the jewellery was there when he went through security.
But when they checked the footage from Mumbai Airport, the missing items weren’t there. This made him think the theft happened after he arrived. Now, the Sahar Police are investigating how this could have happened and are trying to track down the missing jewellery.
