Oldham: A nurse is in a tough spot after being stabbed by a man in the A&E at Royal Oldham Hospital. It’s a really scary situation.
According to Greater Manchester Police, they’ve arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder. This all went down around 11:30 PM on Saturday night when they got reports of a stabbing at the hospital on Rochdale Road.
From what we know, a member of the public attacked the nurse with a sharp object, not a knife. The nurse, a woman in her 50s, has serious injuries and is still in the hospital. Sadly, her injuries might change her life forever.
The police caught a 37-year-old man at the scene, and he’s in custody now. They’ve said they’re not looking for anyone else and don’t think there’s any ongoing threat to the public.
