King’s Lynn: So, there was this Royal Navy engineer, Nathan Davison, who made quite the mistake. He drove the wrong way around a roundabout while he was drunk. Not a great idea, right?

At 33, Nathan found himself in a bit of trouble after a night out. He had just come back from a deployment and was staying at a hotel nearby. He and his Navy buddies had dinner and drinks at a pub next door.

But then, things went south. He hopped in his car and drove the wrong way around the Southgates roundabout. The police pulled him over, and he failed the breath test. Turns out, he had way more alcohol in his system than allowed.

His breath test showed 83 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milliliters, while the legal limit is just 35. Oops! In court, he pleaded guilty and got hit with a 20-month driving ban and a fine of £787.

His lawyer mentioned that Nathan didn’t even remember why he got behind the wheel. He was just trying to unwind after a stressful month. But he knows he messed up and is facing the music, both legally and within the Navy.

He’ll also have to pay a victim surcharge and court costs. On the bright side, he might get a chance to take a drink-driving rehab course, which could shorten his ban a bit.
