Newbury: The Corn Exchange is buzzing with family-friendly theatre this spring. It’s a great place for everyone to enjoy shows together.

The fun kicked off with “The Littlest Yak,” a musical based on a beloved children’s book. Kids loved following Gertie, the adorable yak, in a story filled with puppetry and catchy songs.

Next up, on February 15, is “Knightmare Live,” perfect for kids over ten. This comedy show brings back the excitement of the 90s TV classic with puzzles and goblins.

From February 21 to 23, “Four Seasons” will celebrate nature through stunning visuals and puppetry. It’s a fresh take on Vivaldi’s famous music.

Don’t miss the free storytime event at Newbury Library on February 6 at 11 am. It’s a great way to enjoy stories together.

On February 25, “Heka” by Gandini Juggling will amaze with magic and juggling. Watch as objects appear and disappear right before your eyes.

Music lovers can catch Nick Cope on March 2. He’ll perform his new show, “I’ve Lost My Bobble Hat,” filled with fun songs for the whole family.

On March 5, “TRASH!” will bring a high-energy percussion show using everyday items. It’s a hilarious performance that will get everyone tapping along.

From March 7 to 9, “The Gruffalo” will take you on an adventure in the woods. It’s a magical experience with great music and storytelling.

Then, from April 10 to 13, “Room on the Broom” will enchant audiences with its tale of a witch and her friends. Pre-show workshops will add to the fun.

For the littlest ones, “Whipped Up!” on April 6 is a sensory delight. It’s a playful comedy set in a diner, perfect for babies and their parents.

On April 15, illustrator Nick Sharratt will host a Picture Book Draw Along. Kids can learn to draw their favorite characters and create their own.

Curiosity takes center stage on April 16 with “The Science Museum Live Stage Show.” It’s an interactive performance that will inspire young minds.

Finally, on April 19, “Pop Princesses” will bring together favorite songs and fairytale characters in a lively concert. It’s a must-see for young music fans.

The season wraps up with “Farm Boy” on April 22, a touching sequel to “War Horse.” It tells powerful family stories through drama and music.
