Romsey: The Aster Group wants to tear down some garages on Viney Avenue and put up two new three-bedroom houses. Sounds like a big change, right?

They’re also planning to add access roads, parking spots, and some landscaping to make it all look nice. The Romsey Town Council had a meeting about this on January 9.

In the meeting, they decided not to raise any objections to the plans. Cllr Janet Burnage was all for it, saying we really need these houses.

But not everyone was on board. Cllr Sandra Gidley raised concerns about parking issues, mentioning that many neighbors were unhappy with the proposal.

Cllr Russell Theron echoed those worries, noting that residents had voiced their objections. Cllr John Critchley reminded everyone to consider the comments from Highways.

In the end, the committee voted not to object, so it looks like the new houses might be on their way!
