Romsey: The award-winning Romsey Bridal Boutique faced a tough situation when two of its windows were smashed. The weather didn’t help either, making things even messier.

Owner Tara Stuart, who’s 53, found out about the damage on the morning of Saturday, January 4. It was a real shock to her.

Tara shared, “We’ve been through tougher times, and we always find a way to get through. This just makes me more determined to provide great service.”

She expressed her frustration about the vandalism, saying it’s disheartening when people don’t understand the effort and heart that goes into running a business.

On Sunday, January 5, Tara posted photos of the damage, calling it “heartbreaking” to see her shop in such a state.

Although the incident shook her faith in the community, she was quickly uplifted by the support she received.

By Wednesday, January 8, she reopened the boutique, and customers flooded in with positive comments on her Facebook post about the reopening.

One customer said, “I’m so invested in your salon (you helped me find my dress) and I’m thrilled you’re back!”

Another added, “It’s awful what happened to your lovely shop. Glad you got it all sorted out.”

Tara mentioned that the first day back was a success, helping brides find their perfect dresses.

She’s excited about the upcoming busy January, with a new collection of dresses arriving soon and a VIP event planned.

Plus, there’s a huge sale coming up at Chilworth Manor with Alresford’s Olivia George Bridal on Sunday, January 26. It’s going to be a big event!
