Collinsville: On January 11, the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office stepped in to arrest two individuals who reportedly lured a 13-year-old girl online.

Thankfully, the girl, who lives in Collinsville, is now safe at home, according to Sheriff Scott Walton.

It turns out she had left home to meet a guy she was chatting with on a messaging app. Her parents got worried and reported her missing on Tuesday. Investigators found her phone tossed in a trash can in Tulsa, which led them to a house in Broken Arrow.

At that location, the sheriff’s office, along with other agencies like the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, made the arrests.

They took Eric Lee Blanchard, 21, into custody at the Tulsa County Jail. Rose Ann Blanchard, 26, managed to bond out but is facing charges for harboring a runaway and interfering with police.

Walton expressed concern about the situation, noting that the 21-year-old had “bad intentions” and that family members were complicating the investigation.

He was relieved to find the girl safe, especially after discovering her new phone abandoned in a trash can.
