Rochester: So, guess what? City Hall and a couple of other buildings in Rochester are changing their hours starting January 2, 2025. They’ll be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Deputy City Administrator Aaron Parrish mentioned that they noticed fewer people needing in-person services after 4:30 p.m. This change is all about making things easier for everyone—residents, businesses, and city staff.

They’re also trying to be more efficient with resources and keep things consistent with other local offices. Even though the buildings will close at 4:30 p.m., you can still get phone support from Rochester Public Utilities and the 311 info line until 5 p.m.
