Starting January 18, you won’t be able to drive on Jubilee Way, Ireland Street, Jockey Street, Longford Street, and Bluecoat Street in Orford. They’ll be working in phases over the weekends, so just one road will be closed at a time.
A council spokesperson mentioned that Scottish Power needs to install a new 33KV main, which is pretty important.
Plus, there’s more work happening in Culcheth on Daten Avenue starting January 27. That closure will last about three weeks, affecting the westbound lane from Risley Road to Warrington Road.
And don’t forget about Waring Avenue in Westy! It’ll also be closed for two weeks from January 27, affecting the area from Bowman Avenue to Brook Avenue.
The council said this closure is for United Utilities to fix some sewer issues. So, if you’re in the area, plan your routes accordingly!
