Greystones: A lorry flipped over and blocked a key road for hours. It was a bit of a mess, but thankfully, the road is now open again.

Emergency services, including police and fire crews, rushed to the scene at Greystones roundabout on Wednesday morning. They found the lorry overturned and quickly got to work.

There was one casualty who needed first aid, but luckily, no serious injuries were reported. Cleveland Police advised drivers to steer clear of the area while they sorted things out.

They confirmed that the southbound lane would stay closed until the lorry was cleared. The call came in around 9:15 AM, and the road closure affected traffic heading to Lackenby.

Firefighters from Cleveland Fire Brigade were on the scene, making sure everything was safe and giving first aid to the injured person before handing them over to the ambulance crew.

By around 4 PM, the road was finally reopened, and things got back to normal. It was a long day for everyone involved, but they handled it well.
