Police and Fire Crews Tape Off Road After Bus Incident in Stockport
Emergency services responded to a crash involving a bus and a car in Stockport, with one elderly driver receiving medical attention

Stockport: On Wednesday afternoon, a road and a double-decker bus were taped off by emergency services after a crash. It all went down around 4 PM on Compstall Road.
Apparently, an elderly lady, 81 years old, crashed her car into the back of the bus. Fire crews quickly arrived and cordoned off the area near Corcoran Drive.
Luckily, her injuries weren’t serious, and she was taken care of by paramedics right there at the scene. It sounds like she was in good hands.
Greater Manchester Police are still looking into what happened. They’ve been contacted for more details, so we might hear more soon.
A spokesperson from the fire service mentioned that two fire engines were dispatched from Marple and Stalybridge stations. They got there fast and helped ensure everything was safe.
After about 40 minutes, the firefighters wrapped up and left the scene. It’s good to know that everyone acted quickly to handle the situation.
