Revenue has seized over €500,000 in drugs, weapons, and counterfeit goods after multiple searches across Dublin and other areas

Dublin: Revenue has been busy lately. They just seized a whopping €523,000 worth of drugs, weapons, and counterfeit goods after several searches.
The action took place in Dublin, the Midlands, and Rosslare. They found 23.7 kg of herbal cannabis valued at nearly €462,000, along with various other drugs and 201 counterfeit items worth about €58,750.
They even discovered six weapons in packages from the Czech Republic. Plus, they seized 32 litres of alcohol and some tobacco after checking passengers at Rosslare Europort.
Detector dogs Ciara and Enzo helped sniff out the cannabis and other drugs during the searches in Dublin and the Midlands. The illegal stuff came from places like the UK, Thailand, the Czech Republic, the USA, and Canada.
The drugs included cannabis edibles, psychoactive substances, and various tablets like Diazepam and Zolpidem.
As for the counterfeit goods, they were confirmed to infringe on Intellectual Property Rights. The haul included items from big brands like Adidas, Alexander McQueen, and Burberry.
A Revenue spokeswoman mentioned that investigations are still ongoing. She said these seizures are part of their efforts to tackle smuggling and the shadow economy.
