Miami: So, it looks like Jimmy Butler is ready to shake things up. He’s reportedly looking to leave the Heat and wants a trade before the deadline hits on February 6. Sounds like he’s not in the mood to wait around!
According to ESPN, Butler has his eyes on a few teams, including the Warriors, Suns, Mavericks, and Rockets. Miami is open to offers, but Butler hasn’t officially asked for a trade yet. He just wants a fresh start with a team that’s ready to win now.
In the last couple of weeks, several teams have shown interest in Butler, but it seems like there’s no rush to get a deal done. The Heat are still figuring things out this season, sitting at sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 14-13 record.
Interestingly, the Warriors are the only team that might actually get serious about trading for Butler. Other teams like Houston and Dallas haven’t really pushed for him, and Phoenix would need to make a big move to get him, which seems unlikely.
Butler is also expected to decline his player option for the 2025-26 season, making him a free agent in July. This season, he’s averaging 18.5 points, shooting 55.2 percent, along with 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists in about 31 minutes per game.
Looks like the trade buzz is heating up, and it’ll be interesting to see where Butler ends up!
