Las Vegas: So, the Raiders are looking to shake things up a bit. They’re set to chat with Pete Carroll next week about their head coach gig. Can you believe it? Adam Schefter from ESPN spilled the beans on this.
Carroll, who’s 73, just had his first interview this hiring season with the Bears. It’s been a busy time for him, for sure. The Raiders are on the hunt for a new coach after letting go of Antonio Pierce, who didn’t even last a full season.
Now, Carroll isn’t new to the game. He was with the Seahawks from 2010 to 2023, racking up a solid record of 137 wins and 89 losses. He even led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl win back in 2014. Remember that crazy game against the Patriots? Yeah, that was a nail-biter!
Before all this, he had a pretty good run at USC too, snagging a national championship in 2004. He’s one of the few coaches who’ve won big in both college and the NFL. Pretty impressive, right?
Oh, and the Raiders aren’t just stopping at Carroll. They’re also looking to interview a bunch of other candidates, including some coordinators from the Lions and Ravens. It’s going to be an interesting few weeks for them!
