Sale: Recently, a child was reportedly grabbed by the throat near a school. This happened on Broad Road, and it’s got everyone talking.

Moorlands Junior School sent out an alert to parents after hearing about the incident. They said a child was grabbed by a stranger while walking home. It’s pretty alarming.

St Anne’s CofE school also reached out to parents, letting them know about the situation. They mentioned that the police were informed too, which is good to hear.

This comes after Greater Manchester Police reported several sightings of suspicious males in the Trafford area. Most of those reports turned out to be nothing serious, but it’s still concerning.

The alert warned parents to be extra cautious. It suggested picking up and dropping off kids right at the school gates for now. The message said, “A stranger grabbed one of our children by the throat, and this was unprovoked.”

Thankfully, the child is safe but understandably shaken up. A big thank you was given to the parents who helped get the child home safely.

St Anne’s primary also sent a note to parents, urging them to think carefully about how their kids get to and from school. They stressed the importance of staying vigilant and talking to kids about safety around strangers.

Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police are still looking into another incident where an 11-year-old girl was approached by a man and woman in Irlam. That’s also under investigation.

If anyone has information about these incidents, they can reach out to the police or Crimestoppers anonymously. It’s crucial to keep our kids safe.
