Sacramento: The Kings are having a tough time this season. They just lost to the Pistons, making it five losses in a row at home. Ouch! Their record now stands at 13-18, which puts them near the bottom of the Western Conference.

With all the talent on the team, including the recent addition of DeMar DeRozan, fans expected more. But the Kings have struggled, and now there’s chatter about De’Aaron Fox possibly being traded. However, the team isn’t ready to let him go just yet.

According to reports, the Kings have “zero interest” in trading Fox before the February 6 deadline. They still see him as the face of the franchise and plan to offer him a supermax contract extension. Sounds like they’re committed to him!

Fox turned down an extension earlier because he wants to see how the season plays out. He’s made it clear he loves Sacramento and wants to stay with the team for his entire career. But winning is key, and the Kings have struggled to do that this season.

Things could change quickly if the Kings don’t turn it around. The pressure is on GM Monte McNair, who recently met with Fox’s agent to discuss the future. If a trade does happen, it seems like the Spurs are already eyeing Fox.

For now, though, it looks like Fox will be sticking around. Let’s see how the rest of the season unfolds!
