Sacramento, NBA, Jerami Grant, John Collins, Kyle Kuzma, Dorian Finney-Smith, De’Aaron Fox

Sacramento: The Kings are feeling the heat as they sit in 12th place. They really want to turn things around for the 2024-25 NBA season before it’s too late.

It looks like they need to make some roster changes. General manager Monte McNair and his team are particularly looking for help at backup center and wing positions, according to reports.

They’ve got their eyes on six players, including Jerami Grant from the Trail Blazers and John Collins from the Jazz. They’re also interested in a couple of guys from the Wizards, Jonas Valančiūnas and Kyle Kuzma.

On top of that, they’re checking out Brooklyn Nets forwards Cam Johnson and Dorian Finney-Smith, though it seems they’re more keen on Johnson.

While it’s unlikely they’ll snag big names like Zach LaVine or Brandon Ingram, McNair is still open to exploring all options.

There’s also some uncertainty around De’Aaron Fox’s future with the team. If he does end up leaving, a trade might be the best way to go, so they don’t lose him for nothing.

Fox hasn’t asked for a trade yet, but teams like the San Antonio Spurs are already gearing up to make a move if he does.

For now, the Kings are focused on the present, but it seems like big changes are just around the corner.
