New York: The Jets are on the hunt for a new General Manager. They’re casting a wide net and can talk to anyone, even those not tied to other teams.

According to Adam Schefter from ESPN, they’re set to chat with Jon Robinson, the former G.M. of the Titans, and Louis Riddick, who’s now an analyst at ESPN.

Mike Tannenbaum, a former Jets G.M., is helping out with the search through his company, The 33rd Team. He’s got some experience in this area.

Interestingly, the Jets haven’t made up their minds about whether to hire a G.M. first or a coach. They’re keeping their options open and will look at more candidates.

Robinson has some notable picks under his belt, like drafting Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown. But it’s worth mentioning he also traded Brown, which hasn’t panned out well for the Titans.

As for Riddick, he’s been in the front office before and has interviewed for several G.M. jobs but hasn’t landed one yet.

This comes after Jets owner Woody Johnson decided to part ways with both coach Robert Saleh and G.M. Joe Douglas during a tough season.
