Las Vegas: The Raiders are gearing up to start their third quarterback this season. They’re set to face the Falcons on Monday night, and it looks like Desmond Ridder will be the guy.
According to Adam Schefter from ESPN, Ridder is expected to take the field. Aidan O’Connell is dealing with a knee injury and is questionable for the game. He’ll try to work it out before kickoff, but it seems like Ridder is the favorite to start.
They’ve also got Carter Bradley on the roster as a backup just in case. Ridder joined the Raiders after being signed off Arizona’s practice squad in October. He’s played in four games so far, completing 28 of 44 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown.
Ridder was picked in the third round by Atlanta in 2022 and started 17 games in his first two seasons. So, this game will be a nice reunion for him, even though he was traded to the Cardinals and didn’t make their final roster.
