Melbourne: After a tough few days of scorching heat, folks in Australia are finally getting a break. Starting Sunday night, cooler weather is rolling in, and it’s about time!

The Bureau of Meteorology has said that this cool change will hit Victoria and Tasmania around 9 PM. It’s like a breath of fresh air after all that heat.

They mentioned that the relief will start in western Victoria and Tasmania first, but Melbourne will have to wait until later tonight to feel it.

But don’t get too comfy just yet! Other areas on the east coast won’t feel the coolness until late Monday. So, NSW is in for another hot day before the change sweeps through.

Tuesday should bring even cooler weather along the coast, which is a nice thought. Plus, it looks like some rain is on the way for many areas on Monday and Tuesday.

Heatwave warnings are still in effect for parts of Western Australia, NSW, Victoria, and Tasmania. The Bureau has issued a severe heatwave warning for the Kimberley, Pilbara, and North Interior Districts in WA, lasting until Tuesday.

Perth is looking at a sunny Monday with a high of 37 degrees, but it’ll cool down a bit to 33 degrees on Tuesday.

In NSW, the heatwave warning is still on for the South Coast, Snowy Mountains, and Riverina Districts until Monday. Sydney might see a late shower on Monday, with a high of 32 degrees, dropping to 25 degrees on Tuesday.

Canberra is also in for some showers and possibly a storm on Monday, with a high of 33 degrees.

Victoria is still feeling the heat, especially in East Gippsland and the West and South Gippsland Districts, with warnings in place until Monday. Melbourne is expected to have showers and a high of 21 degrees on Monday, warming up a bit to 25 degrees on Tuesday.

In Tasmania, there’s a severe heatwave warning for the Furneaux Islands District, but that’s just for Sunday. Hobart will see a high of 20 degrees with a couple of showers on Monday, cooling down to 19 degrees on Tuesday.

Adelaide is looking at 24 degrees on Monday, even with some early showers, but it’ll be sunny on Tuesday. Brisbane will hit 29 degrees on Monday, warming up a bit to 31 degrees on Tuesday.
