RIVIÈRE-DU-LOUP: So, the RCMP just arrested a guy for some pretty nasty hate speech he was posting online. This dude was using Telegram and X to spread his hateful messages.
They say he’s from Rivière-du-Loup, which is about 400 kilometers northeast of Montreal. The Integrated National Security Enforcement Team looked into him and found some serious stuff.
He’s facing charges for promoting hatred and antisemitism. It turns out he was already in trouble for similar things back in February but was let go with conditions. Guess what? He didn’t stop posting online.
Authorities found out he had been posting hundreds of hateful comments aimed at Jewish folks and even sexual minorities. It’s really disheartening.
Since some of his offenses happened when he was a minor, they can’t share his name. It’s a tough situation, but the RCMP is on it. This news was first reported by The Canadian Press.
